The Threshold Where Chaos Loses
Fonte: The Code Room ·
A quantum computer is usually described as a machine that runs a calculation and then tells you the answer. The hard part is what happens in between: errors creep in while the calculation is still running, and a machine that cannot catch them mid-flight will never be trusted with anything long. So a team from Rutgers and IBM tried something that sounds obvious and turns out to be very hard — they made the machine check itself while it ran.
