“Men with Queer Nerves”: The Jumping Frenchmen of Maine

Source: Public Domain Review ·

Ross Bullen introduces us to these so-called “Jumping Frenchmen” and to their greatest investigator, George M. Beard, who saw a link in their behavior between religious frenzy and neurasthenia.
