Product design with AI: our job is about setting our standard for AI

TLDR: AI can do a lot of what designers used to do, and it’s easy to feel replaced. One analogy I heard encouraged me to think it’s less about losing our jobs and more about knowing our own standard of work well enough to teach it to AI. Even my mom talks about AI Everyone hears about AI, and everyone talks about AI. I walk down the street and hear people talking about it. Even my mom talks about AI. Her new hobby is sending me AI-generated memes, which is quite sweet, to be honest. This is an opinion I shared with my design team recently, about what all this means for us. Underneath the noise
