I take notes in the first person

I write in the first person because it helps me think through how I understand the world, and speaks better to my Future self when I visit past notes. The practice also keeps me from the trap of writing for others, trying to meet their unstated needs. Technical, how-to style notes, do not follow this convention. There is no value in rewriting my earlier notes. Email a comment
